Congressman Mike Rogers of Alabama’s Third District visited the new technology center at Southern Union State Community College, Valley Campus Friday, August 19th. Congressman Rogers and guests were treated to a tour of the new Technology Center by Carlton Jones, chair of the SUSCC Technology Program. Mr. Jones explained the equipment and training procedures at the technology center to the Congressman and guests. That equipment includes robots like those used in local automotive plants and a wide range of electrical, electronic and pneumatic training stations. Shown left, Congressman Rogers receives an explanation of some of the training materials, used at the building from Carlton Jones, pictured right. With them is Chambers County Probate Judge Cary Baldwin, center, who introduced Rogers later when he made comments to the invited guests.
